French Kiss
There are few styles that I love more then French, feminine, and frilly. There is something so simple and timeless about a straw boater hat, romantic soft lace, pink roses, and a dramatic winged eye! This look made me long for France. For a moment my memory went back to our recent trip to Paris! I remember watching the perfect Parisian sunset while eating pistachio gelato and wonder through the Île Saint-Louis like it was yesterday. Moments like this are engraved in my mind and have left a permanent stamp on my sense of style.
I love the ease and imperfection of the Parisian woman. She is confident, understated, and glamours in the most disheveled way! Her allure is easily evident as she tucks her tousled hair behind her ear revealing her crimson lips while sipping her coffee at a corner cafe'. This ease of charm also spills over into her attire. She is neither bold nor simple. She is tailored and put together. She exudes confidence and effortless femininity. Her style is uniquely hers.
My love of feminine silhouettes and ladylike details have always been a part of my signature style. I adore soft lace, romantic curls, the perfect pair of pearl earrings, and of course the color pink! This outfit encompasses all of those elements. Let's start from the top. I just adore this beautiful BCBG blouse! Is there anything quite as romantic as poet sleeves and white lace? I just don't think so!
A top this girly calls for a dash of pink. My pink faux suede skirt was the perfect piece to complement this top. I am in love with it's scalloped edges and its sweet shade of pink. My flatforms were a recent buy from Call it Spring and a steal at just $23. I can't believe they were so affordable! I have been wearing them on repeat for a week.
Finally to top off this ultra feminine look I added my favorite straw boater hat from American Eagle. This hat has become my go to staple this summer. It adds the perfect Parisian feel to any look. This outfit was made complete by my favorite YSL lipstick and my oversized white sunglasses!
