Roman Holiday
As previously stated, I LOVE Audrey Hepburn! She is the epitome of lady like class and elegance. She exudes sophistication and delecate femininity. When I look through old photos of her I instantly feel inspired to embrace all things classic and girly! When I put together an outfit that is quintessential Audrey Hepburn, I can't help but embrace her ladylike feminine appeal!
The moment we came across this gorgeous pink tree overflowing with dramatic pink flowers I was instantly reminded of that iconic image of Audrey! Her photo was shot by Norman Parkinson circa 1955, published in Vogue. Our shoot quickly became heavily influenced by some of my favorite Audrey film photos! Roman Holiday, Breakfast at Tiffanys, and Funny Face have always been some of my favorite Audrey films. Regardless of what character she plays, she always exudes style and grace! I mean how dreamy was the scene in Funny Face when Audrey came down the staircase in that gorgeous red Givenchy gown! So-So magical! Not to mention the epic Think Pink musical performance! So catchy and ironically appropriate for this season's pink craze.
At heart I have always loved uber feminine silhouettes and anything girly! My husband has always called me his " Easter Girl"! This is due to my ability to use literally any excuse to dress up, wear dresses and anything ladylike. When putting together this look I was focused on my favorite eyelet skirt and silk neck scarce! The rest of the look came together around these pieces. I paired a simple white top and trench coat for warmth. To polish up this otherwise simple look I added my staple straw boater hat, blush Rebecca Minkoff bag, and pink slide flats. I just adore this outfit!
