The One With the Bangs and the Boots
Hello 2017! Hello new year, new goals, and new hair! I don't know about you but I feel so refreshed and ready to take on the world this year! There is something so exciting about the month of January! It always makes me refocus my intentions for my family, career, and health. To kick off this new year I headed straight to the salon to see my trusty hairstylist for a fresh cut! Patrick, my hair genius, has been working on my hair since I was in the 6th grade. We have been together a long time and I am loyal like a golden retriever to him! He always gets my color and cut perfect! So this year I decided bangs were on the menu! I love how a well cut bang frames the face and adds interest to any style. I love a ponytail with a bang! There is something so Persian about the "french girl bangs"! So with my new hair and my new favorite sweater, my husband and I headed to down town Baton Rouge to get some photos! We stubbled upon this gorgeous street lined and dripping with fall leaves! There is something about colorful leaves that inspire me like nothing else. Probably because Louisiana's weather tends to work backwards and we don't actually get cold weather until January or February! Heck even the trees are confused! But hey I will take what little kisses of fall and winter I can get! I am obsessed with these photos and the "feels" that they give me! I love when photos evoke emotions and feel reminiscent of the past!
This outfit was beyond easy and comfortable! I found this amazing mock neck sweater at Gap for under $40! I love a mock neck sweater and a good sale! I actually love shopping the January sales so much. Like I said our winter comes late, so I always stock up on sale sweaters right after Christmas!
For jeans I threw on my favorite black jeans! They have the perfect amount of stretch. Let's talk about these boots! I will go on record by saying I am in love with them! They look so highend and feel like a $500 boot! Would you believe I got them on sale for under $30 at my favorite boutique, Virgo Boutique!
