Christmas Gold

I am sitting down to write this post and feeling so overwhelmed with excitement! I can not believe that Christmas is only a few days away! I have been addicted to the magic of Christmas since I was a little girl! That addiction has only gotten stronger as the years have gone by. Now that I am married and have my own little family and house to decorate, Christmas has become even more fun! However, I have a confession to make. I am one of those people who decorate way too early. I put my tree and decor up the day after Halloween. I just love the holiday season so much, why not celebrate Thanksgiving surrounded by Christmas decor as well! It adds to my enjoyment of the holiday season! One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is get glamed up in a pretty dress, curls, and heels and go on a date with my husband! Our anniversary was last weekend and that always gives me an excuse to dress up! Let's be real...I will find any excuse to dress up! We should never stop playing dress up! Don't you think?!
All that glitters this year is holiday gold! I am absolutely obsessed with this gold dress from my favorite shop Virgo Boutique! The moment I saw it I knew I needed it for our anniversary date! The gold jacquard fabric felt unique and special. So often we think of sequins and glitter for the holidays. This gorgeous jacquard fabric dress felt fresh and really stands out in a sea of shimmer! The neckline also caught my attention as it added a modern element to the dress while still being true to my personal style. I feel this is so important when incorporating trends into your look. Be true to yourself and never let a trend wear you!
For shoes I went with a simple nude block heel sandal. I love a good nude heel! It elongates the leg adding the illusion of height to my otherwise short frame. At just 5'2 I need all the lift I can get!
For my bag I chose my blush Rebecca Minkoff chain bag! I think the blush tone perfectly complements the golden hues in the dress. For makeup I went with an old Hollywood glam eye and lip! The holiday season requires a bold red lip! Don't you think?! For warmth I wore my favorite winter white coat. For a little extra sparkle I finish this look off with these gorgeous starburst rhinestone earrings. Overall I felt this look was glamorous and very holiday appropriate!
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog! I hope you have enjoyed this post and are as excited about Christmas as I am! I still cannot believe it is only a few days away! I will link my entire outfit or similar items below so you can shop my look! I hope you have a great week and a very merry Christmas!
