Traditions Turkeys and Sales

One of my favorite weeks of the year is finally upon us! There is nothing I enjoy more than spending time with my family and shopping amazing sales! Thanksgiving facilitates those two elements perfectly! I am also so excited about our Thanksgiving feast this year! Thanksgiving in South Louisiana taste a little sweeter, well spicier! In the south we show love through our food!! So you can imagine what a display of love Thanksgiving is! Truthfully, I am not much of a cook. To be perfectly honest I have managed to burn, overcook, and flat out ruin one holiday dish per year for the past six years. It's a tradition! I am however good at one Thanksgiving tradition...Black Friday planning and shopping! Oh what a rush! I look forward to it all year, as I am sure many of you with the gift of consumerism do as well! I have gone shopping year after year with my mom! There is something about those sleep deprived-coffee fueled nights that make the best memories! It's not really about what we buy, it's more about the time we spend together!
Lets jump into this outfit! So what makes a good Thanksgiving Day outfit? In my opinion an oversized top is a must. This outfit is a great example of what I would wear to my family's big turkey feast. My oversized cape is perfect for hiding a turkey belly! I also love the hood on the back of it. I have layered a thin knit BCBG sweater under my cape for warmth, and wore my favorite distressed jeans.
For shoes, I have on my new favorite booties from Virgo Boutique! How cute is the tassel and the round block heel? I am obsessed with these booties! They are still in stock on their website and I have a discount code that will get you 15% off your purchase! I will link the site and code below! To finish off this holiday look I chose a bright red lip! A red lip just screams holiday! Don't you think? I will link my entire outfit or similar options below!
I hope you have enjoyed this glimpse into my holiday traditions and current sale prep headspace! I would love to hear from you! Let me know in the comments below what your Thanksgiving traditions are? Do you Black Friday shop or do you avoid the day as a whole? I would love to chat with you! I want to wish everyone a very happy and safe Thanksgiving!
