Blush + Bashful

  "Pink is my signature color"! Okay not really but boy do I love a soft pink sweater! I love it about as much as a Steel Magnolias reference! That movie defined my childhood and illustrates a perfect picture of life in the south. Things move a little slower down here. We like to sit for a spell on the porch and ponder over lives intricacy. Some of my fondest memories involve sitting on my maw maw's porch swing, singing church songs, and drinking coffee milk! What is coffee milk you ask? It is the perfect concoction of caffeine and sugar! Ha! There was nothing dairy free, vegan friendly, or pretentious about coffee milk! Just plain old Community Coffee with whole milk and maw maws love! While my coffee preference has expanded through the years, my love for family and simple southern living is always in my heart. 

  This outfit was inspired entirely by this baby pink sweater from Old Navy. Old Navy has put out a few great fitting sweaters so far this year. I love the shape and length of this sweater. Perfect for layering! My scarf is from Apricot Lane and I love how the olive color creates contrast with the delicate pink hue in the sweater. I feel like it adds some edge to the sweater's extremely feminine color. My distressed denim jeans also create an element of edge and texture. For shoes I opted for my favorite tan booties. They are so comfortable and easy to walk in. I finished the look with my Tory Burch cross body purse.
