Knits and Stripes
When piecing an outfit together I tend to think of my mood and what I am trying to convey to the world around me. I think confidence is the key to looking good in any style, in any season. If you don't feel good about yourself when you are wearing something then simply don't wear it! I try to find pieces that really speak to who I am as a person. Style has always been my creative outlet of expression. I try not to chase trends unless I really love them or feel good while wearing them. My personal style tends to revolved around classic feminine pieces that are timeless and of good quality. I rarely splurge on trends as they are so fleeting. I try to choose pieces that are flattering to my shape, true to my personal style, while still feeling youthful and fun! I am in love with these outfit photos! I think the mix of feminine style shot in this industrial space is to die for! The way the light is peaking through the dilapidated ceiling is gorgeous! My husband has become such a talented photographer!
My outfit was so comfortable. My striped skirt is from Jcrew and is my current spring inspiration. I love the length and the fabric so much. It is going to pair nicely through the spring with simple tops and ballet flats. My sweater was a bargain find from Old Navy and gives a casual feel to my Jcrew skirt. A simple "front tuck" can take a sweater from bulky to ultra faltering in a snap! My patent leather heels give me a nice boost to help accentuate the contour of my legs and give me some height.
