South Louisiana Spring
I have always considered myself to be more of a "fall girl"! I love everything about the fall season! The sweaters, the boots, the decrease in humidity! Ha! The only thing I love more than fall is Christmas! Oh the decorations, the Christmas Carols, the lights, the family, the food... I am getting ahead of myself!
Spring has officially sprung in South Louisiana! Spring is a luxury down here! We only get very few days where the temperature is between 75 and 90! These days are priceless! Suddenly, every outdoor activity become so much more fun because you are not sweating to death while you are doing them! You see, our summers are brutal! A/C and sweet tea are a must to even survive a South Louisiana summer! But spring... spring is glorious in the south! The flowers bloom and fill the air with a beautiful aroma of floral notes and honeysuckle! For a brief fleeting moment of time everything you've heard about the south is a little bit sweeter! The days are longer which give more time for front porch sitting, gardening, crawfish boils, LSU baseball, and fishing! You simply must experience a South Louisiana spring if you get the opportunity!
Spring is one of my favorite seasons of the year to dress for! Spring demands the use of girly feminine florals and pastels that I can't get enough of! My outfit on this particular day was screaming for a romp in the flowers! My scalloped detailed crop top was a bargain at just 19$ from one if the best boutiques in the area, Virgo Boutique! Virgo always has on-trend items at extremely affordable prices! I paired my favorite J-CREW Aztec print shorts and cognac wedges with the scalloped top for an effortless classic look. In my opinion spring and pearls go hand in hand! I had to add a touch of pearl with my initial pearl bracelet. My pearl necklace is from BCBG and is one of my favorite statement necklaces! My white clutch is a recent purchase from H&M! The laser cut detail is the perfect accent for this girly outfit!
Hope y'all are having a wonderful week! Take some time to stop and smell the roses!
